Has #American Apparel’s #Sexist #Marketing finally gone too far?

The clothing company famous for selling it’s clothes with sexist advertising has sunk to a new low.  The company is searching for “The Best (Female) Bottom in the World” with pictures of the latest contestants posted on their website.  It’s as nameless and faceless as an online quickie.

I’m well aware that this kind of thing sells, especially in fashion, but this is a clear case of objectification of women, and what message does it send to young women especially?

The company has gotten away with similar campaigns by calling it “girl power”, but treating women like pieces of meat is not empowering.

The only girl power that could come out out of this bottom campaign is for us to tell  the CEO of American Apparel (notably male) to take his campaign and shove it up his as*
